Is something eating my plant?
Looks like you have a caterpillar friend
0 gillningarThey grew naturally! It just means the grow medium is really healthy
0 gillningarI recently got a caterpillar on my spider plant š my plants donāt go outside and I also recently blasted all my plants in my shower and treated with soapy water cause I had a spider mite infestation on one of my plants and I somehow still ended up with a caterpillar. It pooped all over my plant and ate a bunch of it and I still havenāt found it. Mushrooms grow from the soil but are a sign of healthy soil. You can remove it if it bothers you but will enrich the soil as it decays.
1 gillaOh wow! How "big"are these caterpillars? I provable choose the wrong hobby, as anything with more than 6 legs I'm phobic to! I found a small , my husband said a snail, but I had a full panic attack in front of my father in law... I'd die if I see an "adult" one...
0 gillningarI donāt know size because I have yet to find the darn thing. I havenāt seen any new signs of damage or droppings on mine so Iām hoping I successfully blasted it off with the water hose.
0 gillningarWhat do you guys suggest I do about the caterpillar? In general Iāve noticed that this plant has been droopy and some of the leaves are browning. Iāve had him for over a year and heās been relatively healthy until now.
0 gillningarYou could try searching for it⦠or spraying the leaves down with the shower head?
0 gillningarThe caterpillar is probably decently big by now. Easy to spot.
0 gillningarOh my! I'm ā ļø! I'd die if I found something like that in my house! š
0 gillningarIt almost looks like a little chrysalis!
