I have a money tree in my bathroom that is growing what I think is mold. (There is also cinnamon in there because it had fungus gnats) where did I go wrong and how do I fix this?

Cinnamon is a good natural antifungal but not a great treatment for gnats. I would bet that the humidity in the bathroom is causing the mold. If you’re keeping it in there I recommend repotting it in terra cotta which drys quickly

0 Likesmosquito bits is the best actual treatment for eggs and larvae but to be really honest i just deal with them unless they’re really really bad. i have a carnivorous plant near my monstera which has a moss pole that gnats love, and that helps a lot. there’s also that thing you can plug into the wall the people swear by - Zevo it’s called — never used it myself and of course sticky traps. personally i don’t like those because they’re ugly and they don’t treat, just trap
2 LikesHi! I hope your mold situation gets better. For gnats, I have Zevo, a carnivorous plant and put systemic pest control pellets on soil once every season.
0 LikesA repot, rinsing off old soil, and checking for dead roots will help with the gnats. And fresh soil will be better for the plant, roots, and drying out more efficiently. Especially if it’s in terracotta. Be careful of letting it get too dry though as money trees are native to tropical and swamp biomes of South America and Central America.
