Hi! I have a monstera in my bathroom that appears to be healthy & has recently grown a new leaf. However, its roots keep growing above the soil (see photos). I have repotted this plant into a bigger pot twice now, but each time it has a new leaf, the roots will grow above the soil in the new pot. Is this something I should be worried about? Do I need to keep repotting or should I leave it as is? Any tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

So monsteras actually grow aerial roots which are roots that don’t necessarily need soil or water. They’re there because the plants are used to climbing and using the aerial roots to stabilize themselves onto trees. It doesn’t necessarily mean you need to size up, id only size up in you notice roots coming out of the bottom or if there’s other issues. I’d also recommend getting some form of moss pole, trellis, or support stick so the plant can climb and produce larger leaves. It can also just help with the overall stability of the plant too. Hope that helps :)

This is normal. All mine do it too.

Totally normal! Monstera absorb water and nutrients from these roots when they attach to trees natively. If you had this on a sphagnum moss pole they’d start growing into that

Agree with the other comments. Just wanted to add that Monsteras like being a bit root-bound, so they don’t need to be repotted very often
