Help. I think I overwatered my alocasia. It’s lost one small leaf already and now the large leaf is dying. I took it out of the pot and there are very few roots left, but what is there seems healthy. I was able to get two corms off to try to propagate.. but my question now is, it’s been repotted into completely dry soil… how long do I wait to water it now? Or do I water it right away?? I really don’t want to kill her. 😩 the lamp in the pic is a grow bulb so she should be getting plenty of light. TIA!

Forgot to mention, the roots that are left are firm and white.

That might mean it's root bound which causes the yellow leaves so it might needs reporting into a bigger pot

Make sure it’s humid and misted, they like moisture , just not to much

These plants love high humidity. I have mine on top of my large decorative humidifier and it's only lost one leaf since September. I bought it at Trader Joe's and I think it was overly watered when I bought it. I think having a water meter helps to tell when its time to water. I only water about every 2 weeks because it's so dry with fertilizer every time.

This is actually really helpful!! I got this one at Lowe’s and he struggled for a long time. I’m really hoping he’s still savable!! I do have a humidifier but I prob need to fill it more regularly. 😬
