any advice?
0 gillningarIf your not seeing pests, the brown tips is often underwatering or lack of humidity
1 gillaThank you, i haven’t seen any but I think I’ve seen a few on the plant next to it. I’ve tried the neem spray but it didn’t seem to work
0 gillningarTheres better options, like a jacks dead bug, growsafe, SNS, castille soap dilution., etc. If it's next to it, it probably also has them. And generally you'll want to treat every few days for like 6-10 weeks to make sure the whole life cycle is killed
3 gillningarThank you, I’ll be going to the store tomorrow
1 gillaI’d have to agree with Wolfen, you may be going just a bit too long between waterings. Is it in a glazed pot or terracotta?
2 gillningarI’m not sure, it was a gift from a friend but it has drainage. And I’m sure watering is definitely part of it I’ve been a little busy this week. Thank you
1 gillaNo problem it happens! These guys are pretty resilient. If the inside of the pot is smooth it’s likely glazed. If it’s rough and feels like concrete it’s not glazed. If pots aren’t glazed they will wick moisture from the soil, which is great for cacti. But for most houseplants you’ll need to water more frequently. I have a philo in a terracotta pot and I have to water it all the time 🤦🏻♀️
2 gillningarAn alternative is to use a plastic pot and place it inside the ceramic/terracotta pot. Almost all my smaller plants are in this configuration. It is convenient to check the roots, no water wicking into the heavy pot, easy to take out to water, and easy to change the outer pot to suit my mood. 😆
