guys i need help ID-ing this pest š« These are 3 diff of the (same?) bug on my plant, potentially at different life stages. You can see the white speck on my Alocasia, it was too small for a good photo but it was definitely moving around. I couldnāt even see more of it with my naked eye. I have no other symptoms to go off of unfortunately. I drenched it in insecticide and neem oil and added more systemic granules, donāt worryš
It looks like it could be a fruit/vinegar fly? If itās not a fruiting plant, that could be why you have no other symptoms.
0 Me gusta Itās an Alocasia, known for attracting the fungus gnats, thrips, and spider mites. Some of the bugs are more white/clear so idk about the gnats unless the ones I caught were young. They were flying except the one I found on the plant but I couldnāt see that one any clearer than in the photo. Iām so scared itās thrips ā¹ļø thatās why I posted because Iām not sure. They donāt seem very elongated to me but I did kinda smush them š¤
