Anyone know why this basil is starting to wilt? Was just given this plant and im not sure what to do with it, thank you!!

    Hello! Is the soil moist or dry from the top to two inches down?

      Okay cool, soooo I’d say that it needs to be in better well draining soil, Basil hates to be in sludgy soil and likes draining. A quick cheap fix is regular soil mixed with a lot of perlite to make a chunky mix, and also, a terracotta planter is better than plastic or glazed to help with the water wicking aspect for the roots, while repotting if you notice that some of the roots are squishy or water logged looking it’s okay to trim off those parts to prevent rotting

    Not sure whether this is the cause of your current issue, but basil herb plants are sold with multiple little plants in the same pot. They are not all the same plant. At some point they get too large for the pot and get in each others way… you might want to put them in a bigger pot soon.
