Destiny

I got a majesty palm from Costco, took her home and transplanted her and I’m not sure if it was shock, low humidity, lack of sunlight, or all of the above but she’s almost completely dead now. Looking for tips on how to help revive her. Since she has almost died, I moved her closer to the window to get about 4 hours direct sunlight, I bought a humidifier and it’s sitting next to her and I have trimmed the fronds. Is there anything more I can do? One photo is the day I brought her home, the other is her now

Same thing happened to me. Everything I’ve read about these plants is they only do well where they naturally grow, near the beach.

Yup, all of the above. Not your fault. That thing was already dying when it was taken out of the perfect greenhouse it was raised in, to a costco warehouse. Transplanting it didnt help though.

And not to be mean, but putting a dying plant in a direct blast of a sunbeam was… a choice 😂🤭🤭 I cant blame you, alot of people do this, especially with monsteras… so many dead monsteras… put that thang in a shady corner and if it does better, slowly move it closer over a few weeks, like a few feet at a time.

    This plant lives on humidity.
