Yes. Orchids are best next to a sunny window. Bright, indirect sunlight is best for an orchid.

Sweet thank you. It’s my first one and I’m trying to keep it alive. I’ve watched so many videos because I’ve heard they’re hard and I just wanna make sure I’m doing it right

My grandmother has several orchids in a really sunny south room that gets pretty warm by the afternoon. They’re a few feet away from any windows so I’m not sure if they get too much direct sunlight. She says she gives them a couple ice cubes every week and they’re doing quite well.

ice cubes can injure the roots of your tropical plants, the water should be at least 65° to avoid stress and potentially cold burn or shock

seems like a good spot but just in case keep an eye out for any sunburn and move it back from the window if necessary

I agree with Plant Father. All it can add is keep it out of direct sunlight. Phals can burn quickly. If you have more questions about your orchid, you might consider posting on the Orchid Oasis forum. There are several helpful people there that have experience with orchids of all kinds.
