Coffee arabica plant started to droop pretty heavily, in the past it was a water/sunlight issue, now I’m not sure what’s going on. Any ideas? I can answer clarification questions so ask as needed. Thanks y’all

Droop could be from underwatering, overwatering, or low humidity. 50% humidity is optimal. I'm sure the cup doesn't have drainage so if you leave the pot sit in there after you water it there could be some root rot from over-watering. Lastly arabica likes to be evenly moist so if it's been let to dry out too much it would droop.

How can I increase humidity? And for watering you mean to water the plant as normal and then let it sit outside of the mug for a few minutes? I do dump out what comes out from the nursery pot but if that’s not enough I can let it drain separately too

Thanks! It actually came like that from IKEA! They might still have some if there’s one near you!

It's good that you're empty the cup but it may not drain fully so I think it would be better to let it sit outside the cup for a few minutes first. As far as humidity, the best ways to buy a small humidifier. You can get them at Walgreens or a hardware store or probably several other places. The cheapest way would be a pebble tray something underneath that has pebbles and water.

Root rot is a possibility too. They don't like to completely dry out but of course they don't like to stay too wet either🤦‍♀️

How would I deal with/identify root rot if it is?

Pop it put of the post and look at the roots. If they are brown and mushy its rot. Trim all the rotted one off, maybe spritz with hydrogen peroxide, repot in fresh well draining soil in a container only about an inch or two bigger than the root ball. If the soil you use is slightly damp let it dry mostly put before watering with 1:3 hydrogen peroxide and water. Give it good light. Cross your fingers🤞😉
