Sos! So when I got this beautiful plant it was thriving I had to repot it and have moved it around several different spots in my apartment. But the new leaves are coming in much lighter and they are flipped differently and I’m so unsure of what to do as well as spots on the older leaves. I will take any advice…

new leaves on the black velvet just typically come in a bright green. it takes some time for them to darken. it could be that it was in too-bright light but that’s unlikely for an alocasia unless it’s in full sun for several hours, & in that case it’d be sunburnt. also, since it’s been in so many different spots/lighting. also a lot of round alocasia leaves grow in ā€œcuppedā€. you can ā€œpopā€ them the other way if you want! i’d choose the best bright indirect spot & just leave it there & let it acclimate. it can be stressful for them to have conditions that are always changing.

Perfect thank you! I appreciate all the info I honestly was terrified I was killer her but she seems to be perking up in this smaller pot and in an indirect spot. I had her in a pot that didn’t have the proper drainage so I’m hoping that this will be a good spot for her for now.
