Why is my low rider Alocasia leafs yellow, I checked the soil with a moisture reader and it says it’s just between dry and moist. It’s at south facing window as well. Any tips would be greatly appreciated

It that plastic at the base of the trunk? That could be a mesh of death stunting the growth and should be removed. It’s hard to tell. Several things can cause yellowing: Low or too much light, over/under watering, excess fertilizer, hard water and others. Light - Sheer curtains or an opaque window film can reduce lighting in a south window. I’m assuming low light is not an issue. Water - Double check the moisture level with a wooden skewer to actually see the amount of water and the water level in the pot. Moisture meters are not completely reliable. Fertilizer - Use diluted fertilizer and reduce its use in colder months when growth slows. Hard Water - Use filtered or distilled water. 🎁
