Monstera leaves are drooping. I repotted it a week or two ago because it was so root bound (see second photo). I had to loosen up the roots which made me lose a bunch, but the rest were thick and very healthy! I’m seeing now that the leaves are drooping and the bottom leaves were turning yellow (cut them off yesterday). What do I do?

Boy! Does it ever! Can’t tell you much because I don’t own any Monsteras; maybe in my future when we get a bigger house. You’ll get lots of help online. Good luck!😊💚🪴

Give it time! It’s almost definitely shock from the damage to the roots, affecting her ability to absorb water. It might get rocky for a while, but keep your conditions consistent and all will be well

In future, you don’t need to mess with roots like that, and if anything sweep at them with a brush, and/or soak out the soil. Monstera doesn’t mind being root bound ESP if it has a moss pole to put roots in. In future you can drop that whole root ball right into the next size pot with extra chunky substrate😊

Thanks for the tip! I wanted to get as much soil out because it was hydrophobic

It’s probably just a bit agitated from the root trim and repotting. Give it some time. I’ve learned that plants take a while to show us symptoms. In the wise words of Douglas Adams: Don’t panic.
