Hi all! My hurricane birds nest fern has started getting this dry, crinkled edges. I was thinking humidity was the issue. I got a humidity gauge just to get an idea of the general humidity and tried misting it a few times but the humidity on the gauge never changed. I recently decided to move it to my bathroom thinking that steam from the showers would be good for it. I just got out of the shower (the first one that it was in there for) and noticed some of the lower leaves have these little yellow dots. They do not move and they cannot be wiped off, and I’m 99% sure it’s browning or something of the plant and not a pest. My questions for you: 1. Do we think the edges are getting crinkly because of humidity? Or something else? 2. What do we think these yellow dots are? How to fix it, if possible?

Too much humidity, actually. Many people try to mist their plants daily thinking theyll love the humidity, but thats very bad for it! I only mist my plants when i water them
