How do I save this!? :(( leaves are browning, dry, & cracking. also this is a birds of paradise, right? TIA!!!

    It looks like it got too cold. I saw the same thing happen on my friends monstera, she bought it green and lush, but it was -10 or more when she was transporting it home and then same day it got just like that

    It looks like frost. Softer foliage turns to mush. BOP plants turns to cardboard. Those leaves are gone because of cell damage. I recommend cutting off the worst ones. Put the plant in very bright light or acclimate it to get full sun. Hopefully, the plant will put out new leaves if the roots are still alive.

    its a bird of paradise and mine did the same thing and i cut all my leaves off besides the new growth

    Thanks everyone! I cut a few of the leaves & moved into more sunlight… hopefully that’ll help

    It may be best to do a big chop since the leaves won’t get better. Then all the energy can be focused on new growth. We’re rooting for new life. 👍🏽

      Should I chop all them off at the bottom near the dirt?

    Hard to tell from the photo but maybe a few leaves have enough green left where you could trim them. But I think you need at least one leaf to pull in light. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
