Starting to look discolored and had mold I scrapped off. What should I do to make it happy?

How much light does it get? Maybe more light?
0 Mi piaceThe window is right beside it and you can see a sliver of it in the picture. I do live in WV so it is only getting light between 9 and 4:30pm
0 Mi piaceI’m unfamiliar, what is this plant?
0 Mi piaceIt is a pink quilt Bromline
1 mi piaceThis was funny. Did you check what you typed? I’m not shopping for bedding. For fun I googled your exact response. I figured you meant bromeliad though, but was unsure about the quilt. Looks like you meant quill. Anyway I may need to get one. Your plant is really cool and beautiful.
0 Mi piaceCheck for root rot. Treat and improve soil drainage if needed. Check the center of the plant for water/rot; the leaves on these can trap water and it'd just stagnate there. If niether of those are an issue, it's probably just old age. The bromeliad family are short-lived, so you can expect the flower to fade and for new pups to form at the base. Either treat it as an annual or raise the new pups as the center ages out
