I found this cutie at Lowe’s on clearance Sunday, got her home and cleaned her up. Gave her a bath and repotted. I just noticed the top parts of the stems look sort of brown/dark. Is this a problem? If so, is it fixable? How?

You always want to wait a week at the very minimum to let a plant acclimate before doing anything to it. Also quarantine it away from other plants. Once the week maybe even two is done, then check it for pest & diseases… then you can clean up and repot. Now if you get a plant shipped to you it’s a different process. Lots of good YouTube videos on it

I quarantine all of my new plants for two weeks and generally don’t repot right away. A Lowe’s clearance plant will generally need some help right away which might include a repot. Those clearance plants are usually in sad shape.

Oh ok gotcha… yeah in that case you probably did the right thing. I doubt the black means anything bad if you didn’t notice any root rot or anything.

It doesn’t appear to be a problem. The stems on my ZZ look like that and it’s perfectly healthy. Nice little Lowes clearance find!
