Any tips for keeping a snake plant alive? I’m new to plants, and was told that snake plants are easy. But I’ve killed 2 so far 😞 Maybe they’re just not the plant for me?

Make sure it has a good well draining mix I use perlite and succulent soil sometimes special orchid bark and don’t water to much😉

I use filtered water on mine not tap. That seems to help. I get the soil wet to where it barely drains out of the bottom, maybe a cup total.

don't water frequently but when you do drench them & leave alone until they're bone dry.

I have 3 they barely get any light 2 are in a half bath with no window and growing. I water when bone dry. They are the easiest out of all my plants! Good luck its beautiful!

It’s technically a succulent, so they will do well in cactus soil and bottom water when it’s completely dry. You may have overwatered the others. They’re also marketed as low light plants and while they can tolerate it, they love bright light. They’re quite low maintenance tbh.

Also with all of my plants, I fully saturate the soil until it’s draining out of the bottom. Overwatering refers to frequency of watering, not volume, so don’t be afraid to REALLY water it when it’s 100% dry.

And don’t get water in the crown…the water will collect in there and can cause rotting. Are the leaves yellowing at the leaf base? They are low light tolerant but do better with some good light. I have six and learned all of this over time. Good luck
