Seeking some emotional support about a pest-ridden plant (if you please). This is my girl today, vs in her hey-day. I changed her grow light in January (too bright apparently), this stressed her out, and she got thrips. She’s been in a sad state ever since. What’s your weigh-in? Put the plant to rest to spare the others, or baby her for weeks to get her back to her former glory?

      I know! 🥲 She could probably use a repot, too. I guess I’ll take her home and clean her up…

    I’d go big on rehab since it’s spring and it will have a long window to recover before winter. I’d pull it out, prune back to remove the leaves (even the new one coming in) and anything brown so there’s just green stem remaining. Wash it in the sink with just water, including removing all soil from the roots. When you repot, spray the stems with diluted alcohol or insecticidal soap, and then sprinkle diatomaceous earth on the top soil. Maybe repeat again after the next watering. If those suckers come back after all that, you may have to say your goodbyes.

    As long as she is putting out new leaves, and there is something green, I would not give up.
