I have a black raven ZZ that recently joined my collection, and I’m worried that I have it placed incorrectly. Currently it’s near a window, but not in the direct path of sunlight for a majority of the day. I’m a little paranoid after another plant died in a similar spot (pinstripe calathea) and wanted some feedback if this spot is appropriate
My black raven zz sits in my lowlight bathroom and is completely happy! They’re really hardy, adaptable plants unlike calatheas (calatheas are divas), so I think you’ll be fine. If you see some sun scorching, just move it to a spot without direct light and it’ll recover. You could just move it now if you’re worried about it, it does prefer bright indirect light entirely to put out fast healthy growth.
