Grandma took care of my plants while I was away and I noticed this on it, what should I do? Should I just toss the plant out? What about my other plants?

Looks like mealy bugs ? I’m sure there is treatment if you want to keep the plant
いいね 1件oooof definitely mealys. i would throw it away if you’re not attached — otherwise it will be at least a few treatments and isolation for a few weeks, but if you’re up for that challenge you can do it!!
3件のいいねYeah, I threw it out. Didn’t want to bother with it Should I check my other plants? My grandma returned them in boxes so I’m afraid that others might have something too :/
いいね 1件definitely check the others veryyy carefully
3件のいいねyou can spot treat with qtips and rubbing alcohol/dish soap/water mix — spray with neem oil
いいね 1件I’ve been using insecticidal soap on a big jade plant if that’s something you’re comfortable with, and it’s been working really well
0件のいいねDoes it prevent them?
0件のいいねThat’s a good question. I didn’t find very clear info doing a quick google search. I’ve tried a lot of different options in the past though and recently tried the insecticidal soap last week and my small infestation was almost gone after the first application. I found a decent amount of dead ones too when I went to apply again this week.
2件のいいねWhat’s the name of the soap?
0件のいいねI would submerge it in Dawn dishwater for 15 minutes to kill off everything including anything in the soil. Then, rinse plant and soil in clean water. Isolate the plant. I would repeat a week later.
