Hi everyone, got a group of plants from Costco including this green ivy a month ago. It has new roots growing and leaves look great. But this white fluffy growth is appearing in the clear pot. I’m pretty new with indoor plants, what is this?

Powdery mildew which means you probably do not have good air circulation in the area of the plant. Do you see any spots on your foliage

0 gillningarWhite fluffy growth in plant soil is usually harmless saprophytic mold, a type of fungus that breaks down organic matter, but it's often a sign of overwatering or poor air circulation. To get rid of it, you can scrape off the mold, improve drainage, reduce watering, and increase airflow around the plant. 🙏🏽
3 gillningarA commercial fungicide can kill it. But, I would just leave it. It will die off eventually as it breaks down and you reduce watering frequency. Get good air circulation as suggested. The clear pot allows light in and it also promotes fungal growth. Just use an outer cover pot. 🪴🍀
