My Jade Plant is growing really slow and its soil always appears to be dry and crumbly. I’ve repotted it with moisture protectant soil but it still seems to dry out like crazy. It grows very slowly but is having new tiny leaves. I’m afraid of overwatering it. Any advice on how to make it thrive?

It’s right beside a bright window so I’m not sure what more light is needed

And be careful not to overwater. They do like to get pretty dry in between watering.

      Why?

Because the trunk is very thin. When you prune it, the trunk will start to thicken, and you won’t need any supports. In general, it likes pruning — it grows more green mass when you cut it back.

Better to air on the side of two dry with succulents, I did underwater my ogre ear Jade, and it was all shriveled up and like a week later after I watered it it was back to normal, I'm a chronic overwater I've lost too many to that 🤦‍♀️😩 what I would do since it's going to be going into more of a dormant State like most indoor plants do in the fall and winter I would throw it under a grow light to keep it from going fully dormant and as long as you're seeing New growth it's still growing and I would fertilize it, with something like liquid seaweed, I alternate that and fox farms grow big for my plants, but you don't have to fertilize it but every 6 weeks or so but it does need to eat, , they are slow growing plants unfortunately they grow like 2 in a year so don't expect a lot too quick LOL it's always better to just buy them bigger if you can
