    Yep, webworm. That is a moth caterpillar that wants to eat the leaves. The moths are cute if you want to raise it. Your plant is still young enough that a single caterpillar could completely defoliate it in like 2-3 days (groups can defoliate entire trees, but it's not too bad since it happens in fall when trees already expect to lose leaves.) if you feel like raising it, it's mostly full grown and should pupate soon. They aren't very picky about leaf species; black cherry is a commonly available food for them.
