I would guess that it’s cooking in the direct sun. Do you know what direction it faces? Also, how often do you water? I have mine in a west facing window and it’s back from the window by about 2 ft and he’s very happy! And I only water when he looks droopy

It looks dehydrated. Bottom water by letting the pot sit in water until the top soil is moist. Then, completely drain off excess water. It should perk up if it’s not too far gone. Crotons can take direct sun if they are adequately hydrated like in their natural environment. They bake faster in hot sun with little water. The bright light also brings out the colors.🪴🍀

Ok I’m going to try watering it and keeping a closer eye on it and see what happens

South facing window should be fine just make sure it’s only getting around 4 hours of direct sun. Maybe move it back from the window a little. It’s probably cooking in 8+ hours of sun.

Make sure you are using the right water as well, this maybe a plant that needs good water and your tap water may have too many toxins for the plant. You can google the proper balance of water for the plant, as well as what type of water it needs. You can also test your tap water to see what exactly is in it and if it has too much or too little of a specific toxin.

I only use filtered water for my plants .. I have checked the roots there’s no root rot but it was time for a repot so I repotted it and gave it a water bath n allowed it to fully drip till no water was coming out. And I have moved it back from the window as well. Let’s see what happened fingers crossed
