Hello, I’ve had a Florida green for a few months now and I see theirs been some sap like substance on the stems. When I google this some sites say it’s natural and some say it’s pests. I’ve treated it like I would my others and they are still there. Any ideas? I don’t see it on or under the leaves just the stems. Thanks in advance!

    Mine secretes a sap on the stems too. From the research I’ve done, it’s normal for this variety.

    This is normal for a few philodendron. But especially the Florida and billietiae and antapose lines

    It is probably normal but do keep an eye out for pests. Some of them, scale included will leave a sticky residue behind but it would be on leaves as well as stems.
