Looks like meally bug.
0 likesI would keep it in water. But just the roots (the little white nubs starting to poke out. If you have the leaves in the water they will rot and die. All it takes is time. And I don’t think it has mealy bugs.

2 likesIt’s looking really good, I can tell it’s starting to grow new leaves so just keep doing what you’re doing, just make sure the leaves aren’t in water
0 likesI recommend cutting off the mushy dead parts to prevent rot from contaminating the water. Try propping it up in a shallow tray/bowl of water to help keep the leaves dry. Be sure to fertilize the water since the roots are showing. Place it in a warm well lit location.
