Please forgive me as I am very new to plants, but I've noticed several issues with my peace lily and I'm looking for some more expert advice. I have been following the care plan to a T and although I'm aware this might not always be perfect, I feel like the care plan has made it worse. I am confused because parts of the plant seem to be thriving and I've even seen some new sprouts and flowers come up, but as you can see below, one of the flowers has started to turn brown very quickly. Additionally, several of the smaller leaves have begun to yellow and wilt. For context, I live in AZ and it has been getting hotter recently, but I keep my plant in an air conditioned room and allow it plenty of sun as needed. Any thoughts?

Yes the soil should be drying out before watering I find Planta sometimes says water but always check the soil first

just so you know, planta’s water schedule is really bad for most plants. don’t just blindly water, always check the soil first.

They also don’t need tonnes of direct light either. I’ve got 2 in my north facing bathroom and they’re thriving. And the one in my south facing lounge also doesn’t get any direct light and is blooming like mad x

If the watering issue doesn’t solve it it you may have to take it out rinse the dirt off and gently pinch the roots if they are squishy and not firm trim them quickly and spray with hydrogen proxide no need to rinse it after then place it in a better draining soil.

Thanks everyone! I just cut the dead leaves and going to let the soil dry out a little more. Going to move her to the north facing window for now :)
