Newer to plants and gotta say I don't believe people when they say get a spider plant it's easy you can't kill them. I've killed several so far and desperately trying not to kill this on too. Any ideas why the leaves are floppy and curling? The brown tips are soft not crispy (note I just watered)

The leaves are curling maybe because of the type of spider plant! There are soo many types. Did you recently propagate it from water? Also it’s very easy to over water baby spider plants so make sure it’s drying out all the way!

No I got as a mini plant in a tiny nursery pot and been letting it dry out but seems to take forever to do so.

It could be a natural curl if it’s a Curly Bonnie spider plant. You might be having trouble if the roots were too small when planted. I have dozens of spider plants in several sizes and varieties. I don’t take the baby from the mother plant until the baby has long thick roots. This increases the chance of a successful propagation. See my photo. The longest roots are about 1 inch long. 🪴🍀

Leaves can go limp if the pot is too large keeping the soil too wet too long. Spider plants like smaller pots tight fitting on its thick fleshy roots. Your pot may be too big for your plant. The plant has to dry out all the water from the soil before the roots rot. My plants in the photo are in recycled 2 inch nursery pots. The soil dries fast and I water after the soil dries and before the leaf tips turn brown. Two inch pots are ideal for spider babies. The pot on the right has baby Hawaiian Spider plants. They were tiny. So, I put several in a 2 inch pot to dry out the water before any root rot sets in. 🪴🍀

Thanks for the suggestion! I repotted back into it's original nursery pot and it already has a new shoot!

Thanks so much to you both! I'll try repotting back in a smaller pot. I had no idea all the different varieties of spider plants!
