well i canât see the soil very well but it may be over watered judging by the fact the soils dark
1 gillamaybe a better photo ?
1 gillaoh is the dirt being held in a metal cage??
0 gillningarThat maybe be why itâs drooping them, I donât know much abt the polka dot plant but it looks like itâs way to dry. maybe try a different pot and more regular watering
2 gillningarThat plant is way overwatered. Remove most of that wet soil, let it dry out for a few hours. Check size of root system. Reduce the pot size if the root system is not filling the planter. Repot with fresh dry soil. Change the planter if you can. That one is not going to work for long.
4 gillningarPolka dot plants are not easy. If itâs in a container like that, itâs going to need moss or coir to keep it moist but not soggy. Iâve never seen one in an open cage - thatâs optimistic. We all love them but they are finicky- not too much water and not too little. Need light or they get elongated. Then they reach their peak and need to be cut back to start over. Itâs not you - itâs the plant. đ
0 gillningarIf you donât want them long you have to pinch their leaves.
0 gillningarThose really never make it unless they are in a humid environment I have mine in a humidity dome and Iâve never had crispy leaves since. I have mine in part shade part sun with very high humidity.
0 gillningarAgreed. Even with two humidifiers running next to them, they werenât happy. I gave up after several moths.
0 gillningarDefinitely too dry. Get a small pot with holes in the bottom and water it once every 8 days. Make sure the water isnât too hot or cold cause polka plants are very picky about that. They donât need MUCH humidity but they still need it of course. Maybe move the plant indoors as well. (I love polka dot plants so much and I wish you the best of luck)
0 gillningarYours is so pretty!! How long have you had it?
