This is pretty normal. You can take the spent stems out. They won’t grow back. It will grow new ones eventually. Maybe an orchid expert can chime in. I have a few but I’m not sure what exact conditions they need for flowering. I haven’t been able to get mine to flower and it’s been two years.

U need to get that baby out of that soil. Cut off any dead roots. Spray w some water mixed in peroxide 2:1 ratio. Let it sit for an hr to dry off. Definitely cut the flower spikes they look pretty dead also. U can either place it back in new bark or u can put it in lecca mixed in with sphagnum moss. I pour water into my pot. Let it sit for an hr in it then dump it. Once u get new spikes u will get new flowers. Spikes can give flowers multiple times as long as they aren’t dried up like urs.

I have three orchids in the same bark you have your in now I water like every two or three weeks I would say I water it real good let it drain I also do a spritz spray on the leaves once a week it just a fertilizer other then that nothing. Two of them are getting ready to bloom open with two stocks on each plant the third one had in stock. My is in the south window getting the bright light in the spring they get morning sun not to hot and that’s it. Iv had mine for about 7 yrs or more.

it looks like your orchid might be over watered. make sure the media is mostly or totally dry before you water again. they can handle some drought and neglect. the roots will turn silver when they are thirsty
