Does anyone know what is wrong with my plant this is a new leaf and it seems like it's already dead.. I follow the instructions that the app gives me and I also do a little bit more research I try to follow everything exactly but I don't understand why it seems like it's slowly dying... if anyone has any ideas that would be amazing I need help..

How often am I supposed to water it because I follow this app as well as I thought terracotta pots are supposed to retain the moisture? I do have a small humidifier sitting next to it but I just recently started using it for it.. what would you suggest?

Terracotta actually does the opposite.. it expels moisture quicker than a ceramic pot because they’re very porous! On your plant’s profile, it says that you have it in a stoneware pot which heavily affects the schedule. to check if it needs water manually, you can put your finger in the pot and if the top half is dry and the bottom half is moist, then it’s probably time to water. Monstera’s don’t like to dry out fully. You also have it set to a part sun, and a Monstera would probably be happiest in a full sun or as much sun as you can give it, which could be another reason it’s stressed.

I have it under a grow light it did have its own grow light.. so basically I should change parts, keep an eye on me soil and give it full light... I will try my best.. would it be okay if I did change pots at this moment in time with where it's at?

honestly i might change to plastic or ceramic and update the plant’s profile, especially since you’re following it so closely. when you repot though don’t brush the dirt off from the roots just try to make it a clean transfer. i’ve found it’s less stressful that way

Okay I switched the pot to ceramic I also put the little tail in its own thing of water and this is the humidifier that I have I hope this is a good setup I'm trying to not let it die because it's getting brown spots already... I tried to do the transfer as smoothly as I possibly could I did not dust the dirt off I just switched pops I cleaned the Leafs and put it under my grow light.... I also updated the information... if I need to do anything else or if it looks off will you please let me know I'm trying to save its life at this point I would really appreciate it thank you so much for your help as well..💙💚

You’re welcome! Also the “tail” is an aerial root, it’s used in its natural habitat to give the plant support. It’ll grow out to find ground, it doesn’t need a water cup lol :) There’s tons of photos of aerial roots hanging from trees in Australia and New Zealand, it’s quite cool.
