I had read something about thrips, and I’m reeeeally hoping this isn’t what’s got my Alocasia. Can anyone tell: 1) if that’s what it is, and if so, how to best treat it; and, 2) if not, what is it, and how can I treat it? It was doing so well 😔

Same thing is happening to mine. I’ve already cut 2 of the mature leaves off 😫
いいね 1件If you don’t see any pests, it could also be fungal. I had a similar issue with my Hilo Beauty and ended up cutting the affected leaves and spraying with a copper fungicide. If it is fungal, unfortunately you’ll have to remove all affected leaves to keep it from spreading 🥲 So far, my hilo hasn’t given me anymore spots after this treatment 🤞

do you water with tap water?

you’ll probably want to condition the water or use distilled — we the wild doesn’t condition, it just fertilizes. alocasias can be sensitive to tap water, depending on the area you’re in! highly recommend the southside plants conditioner if you decide to go that route!

also fun fact, the enrich powder is just worm castings! highly recommend swapping to a different brand, we the wild is much more costly comparatively!
