Is this an up close picture? Because zooming in on the left part of the white bugs it looks like a big mealy but I’m not sure

This is taken from about 6 inches away with flash on. Do mealy bugs also make little webs and would I be able to see the big one moving because none of them are moving from what my naked eye can see

Ah okay, hmmm no they do not, that tidbit makes it sound more like spider mites then. I’m not sure if you can see either moving unless it’s prolific. Well the treatment is fairly much the same, for spider mites id first rinse off the entire plant with water (either in the shower or with a garden hose), then use a mixture of rubbing alcohol, dish soap and water and wipe down the leaves and stalks. Then in the evenings do a good mist/spray of a neem oil/water concoction (based off the bottles instructions). You’ll have to give your BOP this spa day weekly for about couple weeks or so until you see no reemergence of pests. Since spider mites lay their eggs within the leaves and you think they are gone but they’ll pop up again if you don’t treat it consistently.

Thanks!! When I spray with neem oil concoction at night do I need to wipe the leaves down again or can I just let it sit?

Also does it matter what percent alcohol I use?

No you can just let it sit, that’s why evening is best so it can dry out before the sun hits the leaves again, otherwise it will burn, but if you wipe it off it won’t have the full affect on the plant. I don’t think so, I’d imagine the more amount of alcohol present the more water I’d add, I usually have 70% but I’ve heard others use 90%

Also do you have any ideas of how I could treat pothos or heart shaped philodendron for these? I don’t see any but want to be proactive - each have hundreds of leaves lol 😅

Definitely spidermites. Consistent treatment for a few weeks is what it will take — a pain with large plants like this admittedly. If you’re consistent & thorough it should pay off!
