Hello! Inspecting my plants I noticed some brown tiny bugs(?) on my eggplant. Will they harm the plant? Does anyone know what these are and food safe ways to get rid of them?

Aphids! Quite harmful to the plant, not for you though. I suggest buying some lady bugs from a garden center, free them on the plant and they will feast! I hope that helps

i wouldn’t recommend buying ladybugs as most offered by garden centers (at least in the u.s.) are the invasive asian lady beetle.

Just watch out around them, they can bite you. Had some on a kalanchoe of mine and one bit me. Didn’t do anything horrible but it didn’t feel great.

looks like aphids. a few drops of dr bronner’s castile soap (peppermint is a bug repellent) in water will make an effective insecticide spray
