Iāve had this peperomia for a couple of months. I had originally potted it in the same pot as a peperomia āRussoā. This āSilver Leafā has a bunch of leaves that are a bit distorted. So I repotted it by itself, thinking maybe it didnāt like sharing space. Itās still weird looking though. I canāt see any pests. The pot has good drainage. Iām at a loss. Any ideas?
It could be a humidity problem š¤ Iāve found peperomias like to let you know if theyāre around a spot thatās too dry or too cold for them, so if theyāve been in a spot near a drafty window, frequently opening door, or air vents recently, that could be the cause of it. You could try moving it away from such a spot to see if thatās the case. It might help to be placed near a humidifier too (this one really doesnāt like misting, though, so Iād stick with a humidifier here). My other guess would be an effect of fertilizing inconsistency or over fertilizing, which is only the case if you do fertilize this plant.
1 gilla Third possibility I can think of at the moment is a bit of shock from the repot, but thatās only if the leaves started getting distorted after the repot, cause Iāve definitely found that the peperomia caperatas and similar varieties with thinner leaves can go through some serious shock after a repot, especially if done in the colder months. Hope this can help rule some possibilities out for you.

Peperomias are one of my favorite houseplants, so Iām happy to help š one of the things that helped mine when it got a little unhappy from being in a cold window was putting a ziplock bag over the leaves. Might sound silly, but keeping the bag open and gently placing it over the top of the plant until the zipper reaches the lip of the pot really helped my plants for a while until I could get a grow light so I could move them out of the frosty windowsills they were in. The trick with it, though, is to wipe the inside of the bag dry once a week so the leaves donāt get wet from the new humidity in the bag. Really saved them for me without needing to buy a humidifier just for the winter months. Forgot to mention that idea earlier š
