Anyone know what’s wrong? I recently bought it and have been following Planta’s guides, but just saw this today.

i agree with Planty Ann! also, the soil looks a bit heavy for a snake plant. these guys are succulants, and do best in a chunky, well draining soil. you can add mix-ins, like perlite or pumice, so that its a 50/50 mix of soil and the additive. you could also buy a premade mix!
1 gillaThank you so much! I really appreciate the help. It is soft and yeah, I’m scared I’ll end up killing it. My house is also pretty humid and doesn’t get any direct sunlight which may be contributing to this. I’ve bought a dehumidifier to control this, but my plants really hate this place. @c.cat, I bought this plant from a local store, so I thought the soil would be ideal for it - I’ll take your advice and add these, hopefully it will help 🤞🏻 Any other suggestions for this type of plant and environment?
