Saw this on top of my BOP soil. It looks like mold. Can I scrape the top to just remove it completely? Or should I just leave it and dry it out? Will it go away

0 Me gustaIt’s a fungus. It occurs naturally and is not harmful to the plant. It can indicate there is moisture too long in the soil from overwatering, slow drying soil and/or poor air circulation. You can let the soil dry more between watering it. Flipping the top soil can hide it for awhile. But, fungus spores still remain. A commercial fungicide spray can kill it if it gets out of control. 🪴🍀
1 me gustaLooks like it's probably flowerpot parasol. It's harmless to plants and will make a cute little mushroom if you choose to let it grow. If you want you can let it grow as a companion species (in which case be gentle with any fungicides), leave the mycellium and just pick the mushroom part (good for a minimal effort aesthetic choice and for keeping curious pets and children safe (it can cause stomach upset; no big deal but unpleasant)), or if you want to completely kill the mycellium you can use any basic fungicide. The mycellium is present in many soils though, so it will be back
