   Similar situation to my Rubber Plant - I suspect an uninvited guest. I use 70% isopropyl alcohol in a spray bottle and spray the plant for living pests (leaves, stem, soil). Note that you need only the 70% strength and after spraying you should leave it to dry on plant and keep the plant in shade temporarily until the isopropyl alcohol dries.

   Also I would just cut off the less than desirable ones so the plant can focus on new ones. My plant became much happier by removing the chewed up ones and focused on new growth and I somewhat regularly spray my plants with the isopropyl alcohol to keep up with any new guests.
