I have little gray bugs all over two of my plants. Iām not sure what they are, but they can fly. They look a bit different to me than fruit flies, but maybe thatās what they are?

GustyFungus gnats! They love moist soil and eating roots. The larva hatch in the soil of plants and eat roots. Iāve had plants like pothos thrive even with them, but overall theyāre bad for your plants :/ Iād resist watering for a bit and maybe get some yellow sticky traps!

Also if possible Iād move those two plants away from your other ones! (Separate room, outside even) The spread is the worst part š

YungbertI regret to inform you that this is a āfungus gnatā and they can be tricky to get rid of. Thereās a product I use called āsystemic houseplant granulesā that works very well. I tried natural ways like peroxide and neem oil, but I had em in almost all my plants so I went with that method and I went from having TONS to maybe 1 or 2 occasionally. The reason they are hard to get rid of is because they lay eggs in your soil and the larvae feeds on fungus in the soil and then continuing the cycle. Without killing the eggs and the larvae they will keep reproducing. But those granules with get them gone!
