Help! I've had this birds nest fern for over a year and it's living in my bathroom. Big north facing window with diffused light. It went 45 days waterlogged and not taking water. I think I had too much water in the pebble drainage tray. I repotted it in indoor soil mixed with perlite. Trimmed up the soggy roots and brown leaves and downsized the pot. That was 15 days ago and the soil is still very wet. I'm not seeing any new growth. It's not wilting or browning further. I'm not sure what to do to help.

When my plants get root rot I either let them dry up for 2-24 hours depending on how big the plant is. You could also coat the cut off nubs with an anti fungal. But yours looks good in her pot! Dont un pot her unless you see more yellowing leaves. Give her some time to recuperate. don’t worry too much sometimes they just need alittle time to get over the shock and she’ll be back giving you more leaves in no time! Even when I dry mine out and add anti fungal it might take a week to a month to see new growth. Try not to give her any water until that soil is dry, maybe put her outside in a shady spot so the sun can help get rid of the moisture. Letting her go totally dry will also encourage more root growth bc she’ll be looking for water. Don’t stress love! Our plants are more resilient than we know❤️ good luck!
