ALGAE! "Kelp" Me Out, Please!!! I was watering plants today and I will admit I've been a bit neglectful the past week... when I brought Bubble into the kitchen I found that the bowl she was sitting in had a LOT of algae at the bottom and a bit up the sides. I've never grown a plant in water before, and she's been thriving, but the amount of algae worried me because I'd been seeing her roots get a bit green for a while now - it was just never this bad. Her roots have grown like wildfire despite it all, and despite being green. I have her sitting in the only spot available for plants rn (we have limited open space and she's too big for her old spot) and it's right next to a west facing window, any other spots are too far from the windows. Is there something I can do to help her roots? I'd like to keep the glass 'bubble' type vase, but I'm willing to find a new one ESPECIALLY since I think it's soon gonna be time to upgrade her room. I already washed the vase with dawn dish soap and let in sit under super super hot water for a few minutes while letting Bubble herself sit to the side for a bit, and I tried to wipe off what I could from the roots.
