Hello. I need help understanding what is going on with my Alocasia Polly. Some things go note: - I have checked thoroughly for pest and I don’t believe this is a pest issue. I also spray and treat all of my plants for pest as well as wipe down the leaves - I have it under a grow light because that is the best lighting for it in my house - I have a water meter so I will usually check it before I water it. Could this be bacteria or a fungal infection? How should I treat? Any help is appreciated

I have one of these too and I have her maybe 5 feet from a window that gets 6ish hours of sunlight a day and she is thriving! So I’m thinking maybe too much light? Especially if you have a strong grow light. 💡 you could try moving the grow light back some if it’s hovering over it and maybe it would help. Best of luck to you! 🌱

My alocasia polly did this when I got spider mites and then the old leaves croaked anyway. I do know they’re prone to fungal infections so misting them isn’t recommended. If these leaves are old it could be that she’s going to drop them and make room for new.

I did use to mist these which is kind of when I started to notice and why I think it’s a fungal infection and not pest. I also genuinely could not find any pest

As long as you also have a good humidity level it’s either fungal or just old leaves slowing fading most likely. Good luck!
