Dear plant diary, My orchid hates me 100%. Mold on roots, leaves are squishy, root rot. Sincerely-PLANTS!!🪴🌱

    My first and only mini orchid died last week a month afyer its bloom stalks were cut back. The leaves were still vibrant and green but the roots said to hell with you, im out ✌️ - I see you 🫂

    Sounds like my orchid when it was over watered. I cut everything including bad roots and I am rehabbing it now.

      I rescued it and the soil was bone dry and the roots were hard but some had root rot.

    What’s type of soil? That could be the issue? Maybe?

    It is dry mulch because I don’t have an orchid mix

    I water by taking the plant out and soaking the roots for a few minutes

    It happens. I currently have three in root loss rehab. My dendrobium anosmum even jumped out of its pot to let me know it needed help
