My poor polka dot bigonia sat in several inches of water for about 2 weeks and she hasn’t been happy since (this was about 2 months ago, she’s holding a grudge). She’s dry now and on a regular watering schedule. As you can see, there is 1 leaf. Should I trim back the other branches or is this a lost cause?
My father in law drenched mine when I was away on holiday. Here’s what I did to her to get to come back to life. 1. Check the roots, get rid of all the root rot, spray with hydrogen peroxide and repot. 2. If the stems are mushy or dry, chop them off, if they’re not, let them be, the nodes will allow some new growth. 3. Clean her up to avoid any pests, and then water. 3. Keep her by a window so that she can see the sky. Be patient with her. She’ll grow back in no time. I hope this helps.
