New Plant Mom

I am a new plant mom and need advice on how to take care of my anthurium plant. I water when the soil is dry and it is next to but not in a window. But it is still having brown spots, and I can’t tell what is natural and what I need to do to help it.

If the brown spots are mushy, it’s likely a case of overwatering or possible root rot. If they’re crunchy, it’s likely underwatered. Also these guys need chunky soil. Mine is in a mixture of orchid bark and perlite And is doing very well. and LOTS of humidity.

A common sign of low humidity is when the edges of the leaf get crispy and brown. I agree with the other comment about watering and the chunky soil You could see if a pebble tray helps. I also group multiple plants together because plants raise the humidity themselves through transpiration
