Hi everyone, this is my aloe plant I’ve head it for about a month now and it’s been transplanted for about as long. Recently I noticed these little white specks appearing in its soil. I’m worried it’s mold from accidental overwatering but I’m truly not sure what it really is. Advice would be appreciated!

    I suggest taking it out to assess the roots and repot in cactus/succulent soil. I’d be concerned about overwatering and mould. Let it dry between waterings then water sparingly. Moisture meter recommended for all plants until you learn their needs. Good luck.

    An aloe usually would not have a mold problem because the soil is too dry. Soil should be fast draining succulent/cactus soil, but not the Miracle Grow brand. I water differently than Debbie. I let the soil dry out completely, but then I totally drench the soil making sure the entire pot is wet. Water should be running out the drain hole.
