I use cinnamon rather than turmeric but it’s the right idea you just need a lot more - wipe off what mould you can and then sprinkle all across the top of the pot. You can also add some food grade hydrogen peroxide when you water for any mould or root rot issues. I measure with my heart but a quick google will give precise measurements

It could be mineral build up from tap water, I notice this happens more often when I only bottom water bc the soil doesn’t get “rinsed” or “flushed” like it does with regular watering. But I am not a pro so take that with a grain of salt

Both of these are most definitely mold. Not spider mites… spider mites hang out under leaves and stems, not on soil… and they’re very hard to see, like microscopic. If anything pest wise is white and fuzzy it’s mealy bugs… but again those don’t hang out on the soil but on leaves/stems. This is mold I promise you. Here’s what Google said to do: How do you get rid of white/orange fuzzy mold on plant soil? Luckily, getting rid of mold on soil is relatively easy. You can scrape mats of fungus off the soil surface and throw it away, or replace the soil entirely with fresh potting mix. Another common way gardeners choose to get rid of mold on houseplant soil is by improving soil drainage with perlite, and by watering less as this usually means you’re overwatering.

Of course! At least it’s not a disease so you’re all good

The white fuzzy things if they’re on the leaves might be mealybugs
