Does anyone know how to nurse a string of turtles back to health? It’s been dropping a tong of leaves and whole strings and I’m not sure if it just needs to be fully repotted or what. Please help!

This happened to mine and I found out it had root rot. There was no saving the original plant. The strings/turtles don’t always turn brown or yellow, like you’d think- they just fell off. I took the best pieces and propagated them in fluval stratum in a clear box with a lid on a windowsill. In 3 months they were ready to repot. I actually made 2 plants with multiple cuttings in each. You could also use spagnum moss or even pearlite. Not sure if this is your problem, but here’s a just in case?

Thank you for the tips! I actually didn’t water it for a month but before that had been following plantas schedule and it was doing so well! So I’m not sure if it’s an over water problem. But I thought it would be more resistant, I’m not sure but I’m so sad because it was so long and pretty 😭

As Summz said probably root rot. Overwatered. Turtles have very shallow roots. In a deeper pot, the soil stays wet far too long because there are no deep roots to take up the moisture. Also using very fast draining soil helps. Such as good quality succulent soil with a low organic percentage. I let mine dry out between waterings.
