My beautiful baby is dropping a dustpan full of leaves everyday! I brought her in from outside about a month ago. I have a small grow light on 12 hours a day and I have her in the same corner by the window that she’s always loved. Any other suggestions?? Or am I just being as dramatic as she is ???

It's probably just the change in the environment, and the old leaves dying to make more energy for new leaves. It also could be going dormant. I don't have this plant (i wish i did) but again its probably all the changing from outside to inside. The light, the air, everything is different. So hopefully thats all it is!

This plant plant was only a foot tall when my husband bought it for me 18 years ago. I’ve had her outside for the summer before but I don’t remember so much leaf drop. Thank you!!

Ficus plants drop leaves if you look at them crosseyed. 😂 They don’t like moving around a room much less from outdoors to indoors. Younger plants are especially sensitive. Older plants adjust better if the changes are not too drastic. Taking more than a month to adjust is not uncommon for a ficus. I have grown several varieties that thrived until the move to a “better” more sunny location at the end of the growing season. Give this one a little more time to adjust since it has lived many years already. Check the humidity levels at the current location. 🪴🍀
